01 — about us

about us

VYR collective — hands reaching toward light
"VYR" (Ukr. "Vortex") sparked from a small gathering of Ukrainian artists in London, scattered across the world after the full-scale invasion. separated from their artistic tribe, yet full of stories waiting to find their voice, with a shared impulse to create. We began by asking a simple question: how we can express what language cannot? We brought together performance and interactive media, physical theatre and 3D mapping, voice, choreography, poetry. we infused it with real-life storytelling - charged with hope, fierce vitality, reflections on death and loss turned into everyday reality, and a search for what it means to be human today. From this search, VYR Art Lab was born - a regular practice of artistic training and experimentation, bringing together acting methods and interdisciplinary techniques. we also invited leading UK-based teachers and collaborators into the Lab, opening new artistic dialogues and deepening cultural exchange. VYR Art Lab became the source of our projects and the place where the core principles of our practice were shaped and refined.
